One inch squares

I love when my customers are my inspiration to create. The other day I was talking to some ladies at our Sewing club Scissor Sisters and we talked about sewing small squares together  faster by ironing them onto interfacing. They were very exited about the technique so the next day I have cut some 1″ squares, the following day my assistant place them all onto the interfacing, I pressed them and sew them together and voila here is the cushion and new class ready!

And the finished beauty

It’s wonderful technique as you can use up really tiny leftovers, as long as you can cut them into 1″ square don’t throw anything away! We have been saving our leftovers for years now, so I think I can see more of these coming soon.

If you’d like to see the process of quilting of this cushion, you can see it on youtube by following this link https://youtu.be/j4dm3dYPtQM
